About TwoCut Tools

TwoCut Tools builds small calculators for practical projects. This site plans equal rectangular molding frames on one wall area, with explicit margins and clear gaps.

Enter your wall measurements and box counts to get outer sizes, inner openings, position marks, individual 45-degree cut lengths, and a conservative 8ft cutting plan. The examples show the same method on 36 different layouts. They are calculated scenarios, not customer installations.

How we check the numbers

The browser calculation is tested against ten hand-calculated cases, geometric invariants, and independent Python-generated fixtures. Unrounded geometry drives the calculation; visible fractions are approximate tape marks.

Limits of the planner

The tool assumes flat trim, 90-degree rectangular frames, equal dimensions, and symmetric margins. It does not inspect walls, avoid outlets, or calculate crown molding compound cuts. The stock plan reserves kerf per piece, but does not prove an optimal minimum or include defective ends.
