Using the calculator

TwoCut Tools provides this calculator and its examples for general decorative project planning. You may use it without an account and print its output for your own work.

Accuracy and project decisions

The formulas assume a rectangular treatment area, equal outer boxes, symmetric margins, flat molding, and 90-degree frame corners. Cuts are long-point to long-point with opposing 45-degree ends. Displayed measurements are rounded. Confirm actual wall and trim measurements and dry-fit a frame before cutting the full set.

The 8ft stock plan is a conservative longest-first arrangement with the entered kerf reserved per piece. It is not an optimized minimum and does not include damaged ends. A linear allowance alone does not establish that complete pieces fit. The calculator is not structural or code-compliance advice.
